Taking Skin for Granted

Four days ago the skin on my face decided to abandon ship. As a pasty white person I know what it's like to have your skin peel - I've experienced that countless times following a sunburn. However this peeling episode was quite unprovoked. The next few days were painfully raw as a new layer began to replace the old. Then much to my surprise the new skin began to fall off as well. What a nightmare! I contacted my doctor and was immediately scheduled for a dermatologist visit tomorrow. Needless to say I'm a little nervous!
