This is definitely not a culinary blog, however that being said you have to try this stew sometime. It's delicious and fabulously easy. The trick is to start it an hour or two after lunch so that it's ready at dinner time. (It's a crock-pot concoction.) Throw together a batch of Jiffy cornbread and you've got yourself a hearty autumn treat! Enjoy!
Prep Time: 20 min
Cook Time: 4 hours
Ingredients:
1 lb pkg of stew beef
1 can tomatoe soup
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 can corn
1 petite can peas and carrots
1 petite can tomatoe sauce
1 jar mushrooms (sliced)
Cut stew beef into bite sized chunks and boil 15-20 min. Pour off fat but leave 2-3 cups of broth for stew. In large crock-pot empty cans and set to high. Add beef and broth mixture. Let simmer for 4 hours. Serves 6-8 people.
